How statistics can go wrong! I heard through the grapevine that Plymouth had been voted the best UK city for cycling. I was most surpised. And then I read the newsletter of the University's Bicycle Users Group (BUG). They had an article about it - it explained a lot! Sense About Science has a flyer called "making sense of statistics"; I think the organisation who has awarded Plymouth with this honour should perhaps be sent one...
